Color Me Blue ~ Sodalite and a Double Leaf Pendant
This product is currently sold out.
The antiqued silver double leaf pendant was the focus for my design and became a study of which colors would give this necklace subtle pizazz. I went through my materials and when settling my eyes on my blues, chose Sodalite for its hues which blended so well with silver. So that being settled, I began compiling my choices to go with Sodalite which were in the form of chips and 4mm round beads. On either side of the double leaves are the Sodalite beads, sterling silver square tube beads, sterling silver chain with 5mm round precious metal sandblasted round beads with a repeat and then a section of Sodalite chips with the sandblasted beads and spirals between, then more chips and silver trio following. These all led to the antique silver melody toggle clasp. The matching earrings consist of the same materials as the necklace and an additional silver plated Pewter Turkish spacer beads, dropping from diamond dotted leverback sterling silver earrings.
The necklace measures 21” in length, with an additional 2” for the leaf pendant and chains. The earrings dropped 1” from the leverbacks.
A pretty straightforward design was developed with the desire to introduce the beauty of Sodalite gemstones when combined with sterling silver. I feel I accomplished that look and am pleased with the end result as being versatile with regard to its potential to enhance many of your wardrobe choices.
