Featured is a beautiful 20mm faceted Rose Quartz cabochon, creating a beautiful feminine adornment and giving new life to a vintage antique silver setting.  The 43mm x 37mm setting has intricate raised flowers and scrolls and is in the shape of a rounded elongated triangle.  Hanging from a sterling silver bail, there are two additional links with which hangs a sterling silver delicate chain from one ring to the other opposite ring  The cabochon pendant is surrounded on both sides by 6mm faceted round rose quartz beads with a variety of silver bead caps and spacers the only interruption.  A sterling silver trigger clasp finishes the necklace in style. The matching earrings contain more rose quartz beads and bead caps, dropping from silver plated, wired, ball end ear wires.

The necklace measures 17 1/2" in length which includes the clasp.  An additional 1 7/8" is added to the length for the bail and pendant, not including the chain.  The earrings drop 1" from the ear wires.

I have been looking for a rose quartz cabochon that would fit the vintage setting and finally found the best size to fit.  Interesting that in designing this necklace, I discovered information about Rose Quartz.  In a description:  "The fair and lovely Rose Quartz, with its gentle pink essence, is a stone of the heart, a Crystal of Unconditional Love...."  The pink seems to be especially attractive in the vintage setting.  Adding silver elements to the equation was my way of emphasizing the silver in the setting.  I do not know the composition, however, I believe it might be pewter over brass or other metal.  I love the end result and hope you will too.  Rose Quartz, a silicon dioxide crystal, is a multi-seasonal stone.  It can be worn to adorn just about any clothing choice, but personally I think it would be best worn as an attractive enhancement to outfits a bit fancier than business casual ~ maybe more appropriately worn as part of a dinner out on the town adornment.
